It may well be that by some strange freak of nature, by a glitch in the ethereal world of the internet , by your finger hitting the wrong key at the wrong time or just plain bad luck - you have found your way to this small nook and are wondering .... "Yeah! Just what is the IAC"?

Well, I.A.C stands for the Internet Angling Club. But just what is it?

Well the best way to describe it is as the angling equivalent of "Last of the Summer Wine" (those poor souls not familiar with British TV comedy - hard luck!).  A load of anglers from all over the UK held together by just one thing.

That thing, according to some, would be the love and collection of centre pin reels. To others it would be the complete indifference to centre pin reels.

It is a possibility that they are held together by the need to be helpful to others less fortunate than themselves, (This is certainly true when it comes to a certain Alan Tomkins sound problems with his PC).

It certainly isn't just angling. The members come from many trades and professions, some are retired. They fish for different things in different ways from the deep, cold, glacial lakes of the north, home to fish that can trace their ancestry back to the last ice age to the shallow, well stocked waters of the south full of exotic species like crayfish. There are even some in the middle somewhere!

In this instance though, there is one thing that keeps them together. This IS the IAC Species race and you certainly don't want anyone to get the better of you with this one!
